Talen'Lith in the Shadowfell (Dark City)
In the shadowfell, the city of Talen'Lith has a strange counterpart, the old city sections that in the material plane are filled with monsters and ruined builds are in pristine condition in the Shadowfell, lorded over by a giant eye hovering above the city, filling it with a dim light.
The people of the city act as if nothing is wrong, dressing in extremely bright colors that have been muted by the grey tones of the shadowfell.
It has been learned that the people believe that there was an apocalypse, and that their ancestors were the only survivors, saved by the great eye.

History
Long ago, longer than any books have survived in the city, it existed in greenery. The world wasn't what is was now. But we were at war. The enemy was said to have a spell that would destroy the whole world, but our ancestors never believed it. Then suddenly, one day they blinked and the landscape outside the city was barren and dead. Shadows and a permanent night. The only spot of light was a great eye hovering above, deflecting the darkness, and keeping the city alive. The priests of the eye said that they had called out to their god and he came to protect us, and as the last living things in the world we must act as we had before and be happy to keep the eye appeased. That he so loved this city as it was as to protect it, that it should remain so.
Architecture
Towering spires and thin beautiful lines. Mostly stonework, magically crafted as to be strong an inhumanly beautiful.
