Heart Ethnicity Traits in DnD 5e

"The strange state of the world has lead to a number of diverse peoples and civilizations, from the magic obsessed mages of Ekavaria, the shadow clad peoples of Ceyrae, the scattered Draelish, or the mass of citizens who call Immortan home, nobody is simply "normal". The world has changed the people as much as the people have changed the world. Wild magic can change people's skin to vibrant colors, give height, weight, or strength in extremes, or even imbue a people with innate sorcerous abilities. Even animals are affected by the process, and kingdoms exist made up of animals given sapience. Taken to its furthest extreme, not even inanimate objects are immune to the gift of intelligence. There is at least one adventurer traveling around who is simply a floating, talking sword." -Bananafire (Source).   The people known as Hearts are found scattered all throughout the world. Below are a number of ethnicities that you can play as in the world of Vaxus, with more to be found the further one explores...   Ceyraen   Dornite   Ekavarian:
The mage cities of Ekavaria started off as research outposts studying under the banner of the old Akian Kingdom. After several Wild Surges caused the kingdom's collapse, the research outposts decided to band together to continue their pursuit of magical research, transforming the scattered outposts into the interconnected cities seen today.
  • Aspethurgic Studies. Due to your studies in one of the major cities, you have an Aspethurgic tattoo. You gain a cantrip depending on which city you studied in, as well as one 1st level spell, which you can cast once per long rest starting at 3rd level.
    Elysian   Gudalian:
Inhabiting a Wild region known for its tameness and bountiful crops, the bark-skinned, green-eyed Gudalians live not in cities by scattered family estates. Peaceful and content, Gudalians are known to travel the world over, bridging cultures with their stories and reciting epics from their Long Count.
  • Gentle Tide. Your homeland's Wilds are calmer than most, instilling a peaceful presence in you when surrounded by nature. You can attempt to hide even when you are only lightly obscured by foliage, heavy rain, falling snow, mist, and other natural phenomena.
  • Aura of Contentment. You have advantage on saving throws you make to avoid or end the charmed or frightened conditions on yourself (you choose which one).
  • World Serpent. Famed for their oral stories, poetry, and epics, Gudalians gather large crowds whenever they enter town, as others grow expectant to hear their tales. You gain one half skill proficiency and one musical instrument or gaming set of your choice to reflect your travels. You may also carry a journal with you, dedicated to documenting your travels and the tales of those you meet, swapping stories with others of your kind whenever you encounter them out in the world.
