Slums
The names may change, but the story remains the same in the slums of Glace. Strategically walled off in unobtrusive yet viciously effective ways, the riff raff and disadvantaged citizens of Glace who power the industrial machine are kept here to live out their lot. It is exceedingly difficult to escape life in the slums, and those who live here scrounge for any advantage they can take. Those with no reason to visit the slums should never even consider it, for they are dangerous places where it is easy to disappear, especially if one might stand out, which would be anyone of any means at all. Gangs run rampant in the slums and are the de facto governments in the absence of the constabulary, who do their diligence here in only the most necessary of manners. In the best of times the slums are a hopeless place, in the worst, they are far, far worse.
