Haber's Reach
The small bustling community of Haber's Reach is predominately the remains of a mining town that was once reasonably profitable for the families that lived there.
As time has moved on the town has become increasing more able to support itself with the small amounts of precious stones that demand high prices in the south. Brave souls come from far and wide to try their luck in the remaining mines to the north of town. Adventurers are also known to come north to help these miners as everything that lives in the deeper mine tunnels isn't there to place nice.
A seedy criminal element is also perhaps beginning to pop up in the town as anywhere riches can be found so can people wanting to get them the easy way. Traveler's to Haber's Reach now often bring caravan guards with them to deter banditry etc.
There is a small Inn that's been running since the heydays of Haber's called The Blushing Twig that offers people food and board. So named for the large maple tree that fills the front yard.
A trail extends north out of town up into the mountains where some of the larger mines now sit abandoned. Originally owned by a mining company, Redstone Mining, the mines had a tendency to collapse due to the shale like structure of the geography. They were officially decommissioned about 2 decades ago when a group working the most northern mine hit an underwater river and flooded all the lower floors killing an undisclosed number of miners.
