One-Eyed Cat

This friendly spot offers food & drink for residents and travelers alike. "Mother" Aran greets guests herself and takes orders, while Berra presides over the kitchen; Tegan and Govar deliver meals and drink throughout the tavern.
Mother Aran purchased the Stumbling Giant from Gabriel Lugallo several years ago when the former owner chose to move to Mistmoor. She renamed the tavern the One-Eyed Cat. Following in the footsteps of her parents and their parents before her, Mother Aran runs a tight ship at the One-Eyed Cat. Her secret family recipes for both food and drink have kept residents and visitors to the keep well fed for many years. Generous and friendly, she sees herself as a grandmother to all who come into her tavern.
Like the adjacent inn, it is a tall building, but in this case there is no second floor: inside is simply one long high room with a beam roof. The lower wall is stone, giving way to wood about eight feet up. Windows in the upper area can be opened (by pole) to let in fresh air or closed to keep in warmth on chilly nights. A ladder leads to the roof battlements in case of attack.
Along with the marketplace and chapel, this is one of the best places to meet people in the Keep; strangers and residents alike enjoy socializing here, and outsiders staying at the adjacent inn usually take their meals here. This is probably the best place for the PCs to make contacts should they wish to link up with potential henchmen and allies.
Most folk of the outer bailey can be found here at least once a week, gathered over mugs of Mother Aran’s Stout and swapping tales, spreading gossip, and arguing about the topic of the day. A huge fire place heats the common room, while a few booths offer space for private discussions.
The masked warrior-woman Third hovers silently whenever potentially unruly customers are present, moving decisively to stop troublemakers should the need arise.
