Greenland

Greenland, Earth 1's largest island, is a self-governing constituent country of the Kingdom of Denmark, east of Canada. While it's a part of North America, it shares more in common with Europe.
The majority of the known inhabitants are Inuit, who migrated from the Canadian mainland sometime in the 13th century. Unknown to the world at large, the Inuit population is almost equaled by the thanagarian inhabitants that live in the hidden settlements to the far north of Greenland.
It's for this reason that Greenland, like Canada, tend toward a higher number of "winged mutants" than other locations.
