History of Tellius

On this bitter-sweet and faithful day, the town of Asharai was forever changed. With a roaring rumble, the Earth opened up into a giant sinkhole that swallowed up a part of the village leaving many injured or worse. While many were lost that day it was this disaster that led to the miracle of finding the first crowned settlements as this was the opening to the now-famous Asharai mines.

Though it is not known exactly when communication began it is around this time when the first trading with the Dragonborn begin. Many Alliance towns on the northern edge have built up good relations with the dragon born of the desert and have been discovering many new goods from them such as spices and new pets but most notably is the influx of new minerals and magic materials.

Many claim it was thanks to the massive sandstorm others argue it was the work of an evil mage but all can agree during this time was the worst drought Tellius had ever seen. After struggling against multiple years of droughts Tellius water supply could no longer sustain the people. Due to this many dragonborn clans set out in search of fertile lands. It was then several years later that they came across a paradise along the longest river any of them has ever seen. Thus marking the Tellius Expanse.

After a prolonged period of interaction between the people of the Alliance and Tellius one family saw the potential of bringing together the two nations. It was with this in mind that members of the Yvresse family traveled to Tellius and met glitz personally. The family and Glitz would go back and forth from drinking and fun to diplomacy, after staying for some time they were able to come to terms that worked for everyone. The day just over a month after arriving an official trade agreement was signed between the Alliance and Tellius.

This fateful day will always go down as the worst event to ever happen to the nation of Tellius. For it was this day that the Empire would begin their attack against the Dragonborn. The Empire seeing and mistaking the Dragonborn for lizardmen would launch a full-scale surprise attacking and slaughtering several entire villages before the day's end. This tragedy marks the beginning of the Red War.

After years of battling the combined might of Tellius, Gallia, and the Alliance the Empire was pushed back into its original borders. It was at this point that the war stagnated as the iron wall of the Empire proved too difficult to pierce. After losses on both sides, the war ends with the signing of a peace treaty alongside the empire needed to pay for reparations.
