The nation and counsel were not formed until the attacks by the Adrestian Empire were consuming more and more of the sacred forest. The wood elf clans raised arms joining together in the fight, but this alone would not be enough as they would continue to be pushed back about halfway through the forest they once called home. This would continue until the Empire found themselves spread too thin as the Alliance started providing aid to many nations, this caused the Empire's expanse to come to an abrupt halt now forcing them into a treaty ending the war. Since then Gallia has been rising as a nation, building its first cities, ports, and more thanks to recent advancements it's now considered one of the larger nations in Talos.
The Counsel of Trees dictates and enforces a handful of laws to protect the Sacred Forest and Gallia as a whole. Aside from these laws they oversee only the larger issues plaguing Gallia leaving the rest up to the smaller clans to handle and run their own lands.
Most of the population of Gallia is made up of Wood Elves and half-elves the next largest group would be humans but this makes up a very small portion of the population.
Holding strong onto their half of the sacred forest, this forest has been the land of wood elves since the beginning of their people and they will hold onto what they have left.
The main power of Gallias army is within its archers being some of the best bowmen in Talos, add this with the woods elves ability to make the most of the terrain around them and you have a powerful combination.
The main gods worshiped in these lands are normally tied to nature the main gods are Yoshio, Amaranth, Primoria, Zylen, and Zuerst.
Always on edge with the Adrestian Empire untrusting of them and always ready for an attack from the north.
Allies with the Leicester Alliance and through that allies to Tellius though they do not take part in too many Foreign relations leaving that all to clan whispers in Emerald seas.
Only the only large city " Emerald Sea's " is surrounded by large fields used for growing crops, though there are a handful of other small farms most villages live off the forest itself.
Most trade goes through the city of Emerald Sea's home to the country's only ports. While the larger villages may have one dirt road to help with travel most of the land has nothing of the sort and just rely on walking trails through the forest. As for communication the clans use animals to pass forth letters between each other through this system was set up not many nonemergency messages are passed between clans.
Varies from clan to clan but they have no standardized education, normally the elders teach the children what they deem necessary for life in the area.
