UENN

Born out of the need for an actual Space fairing force to defend Earth after Ozimandias attack the UENN was founded as a "Space Navy" out of the Eurofor agreement. It quickly grew into a powerful standing army and due to the nature of space and planetary warfare slowly started integrating other army or corp.
The ermgence of United Earth Nations as a cohesive entity and the realization that martian or lunar mission would necessarly require the used of land or air based unit led to an acceptance that UENN had become the de-facto single entity army of humanity.
While some military tradition and trapping still exist remnant of old earth military or corps, realistic planning and need for unity prevailed and all military unit now are under the banner of UENN, even on earth.

Structure

The UENN is organized in a hierarchical and rigid manner.
At the top you have the Headquarter and general staff division. Then come the four corps:

Space Corp often nicknamed "Space Cadets", "rocket boys" or other denomination emphasizing the recent founding of the corp and it's reliance on rocket and spaceships

Infantry Corp often refered as "Mobile infantry" in reference of the early day name of "high mobility projection infantry corp"

Atmospheric Warfare Corp while often they refer to themselve as "air force" or "eagles" most other corps used less glorious name amphasizing the limitation of atmospheric warfare such as "low-flyer", "jumpers" or "gravity-impaired"

Navy Corp subject to endless debate about actual usefullness in the age of space warfare, "the old lady" as the other corp call it is still the most honored one. While indeed sending destroyer to space and deploying navy on foreign planet is rarely useful, most industrial process to build spaceship came from Navy research and the rules on board of spaceship are direct descendant to Navy custom and process.

Each corp is composed of between 5 and 25 brigade,
Each Brigade is itself composed of 10 division.
Each Division is composed of 10 regiment
Each Regiment is composed of 10 Squad
Each Squad is composed of 5 Cells
Cells are the smallest operational unit (5 infantry man, 2mech and 1 pilot for a fighter jet and so on)

Each corps is therefore composed about 30 000 cells.
