A plague had spread through Fortressia, claiming rich and poor alike. Tiberius was no exception. The king perished within a week, declaring his younger son, Celius Emberhand, the heir of the throne. This declaration enraged Tacitus, his eldest heir, and motivated him to seek vengeance against his own bloodline. Celius rose to the throne that same month.
