The Clans of Bevrasten

Summary

The major legitimate powers in Bevrasten are a series of familial clans that band together in fealty to one of a handful of High Clans. The High Clans in turn govern the lower clans under their banner and maintain friendly alliances with one another in the interest of peace. Conflicts between clans are rare and almost never violent due to the peaceful nature of the Trueblood Kiari that make up the vast majority of clansmen, however the clans do have to fend of hostile powers from oversees that have taken root in the islands near Bevrasten.
If it were not for the vigilant watch of the clans Bevrasten would likely have become a pirate haven much like it's neighboring islands, or worse, a rogue state should the fiercest of these already deadly gangs take control of the region. Indeed many powerful pirate captains, often Ex-Tiorathan Naval Officers, have declared war on the clans in the hopes of doing just that. However Bevrasten has never been alone in these battles as Kessofare is always eager to prove the value of its warriors, and even more eager to protect one of the nations few genuine allies.
