The Hands of Thennon

Summary

The Hands of Thennon are a militarized Tiorathan supremacist cult that was active in the second age, and is descended from the cults of Thennon that existed centuries prior. It has sects across the known world but is most active in the east.

Goals and Values

The Hands of Thennon seek to restore the Tiorathan Hierarchy to it's pre-sundering state and subsequently expand upon the borders it maintained during the late first age. The organization idolizes the traits exemplified by Thennon during his life, and it's leaders are expected to be as comfortable with political machinations as they are open combat.   The organizations membership is made exclusively by Humans, and members must be at least a quarter Tiorathan (however it is rare for partial Tiorathans to be admitted into the order, but a handful of cells have made exceptions).

Loyalties

The Hands of Thennon are loyal to the memory of Thennon Tiorath, and by extension loyal to the imperialistic elements of the modern Tiorathan Hierarchy. They believe that a figure alike to Thennon will rise in Tiorath again and will lead the empire back to glory.

Sects

Imperial expansionists The Imperial expansionists are a sect active in southeast Nor'Tirath and east Oron'hye. They seek to increase tensions between the Felsaedi states in order to weaken the Tiortah Hierarchies former greatest rival to ensure a future successful takeover.

History

The Hands of Thennon trace their roots back to the early first age, but did not exist in their current incarnation until the signing of the Gateway Pact in the dawning second age. The signing of the pact led to partial demilitarization within the island nations (primarily by abandoning expensive research or production projects and by discontinuing the production of inhuman materials and weapons such as Blackened Tiorathan Steel).   The islands partial Demilitarization angered many of the more industrial and imperialist families, who began to fund a number of imperialist Thennonite cults, who would go on to become the various cells of the Hands of Thennon.
