Piper's Ferry.

With a simple building and altar constructed on the riverbank, the church serves Piper's Ferry first and foremost.
According to one of the priests, the place of worship is built on a particular river because it is home to the famed
salmon of knowledge, a slippery but benevolent creature that offers advice to those who seek it out.
History
For decades, praying to the
River Goddess was credited with ending the occasional hardships in Piper's Ferry. However, when the
blight ravaged the crops again and again, faith in the goddess began to falter.
Because the blight's disappearance coincided with a
shadowy figure blowing up the goddess's altar, the townsfolk credited the River Goddess's sacrifice with finally curing the crops of their pernicious sickness.
Public sentiment began to shift again when the
Flesh Eaters brutally attacked farms on the outskirts of town. However, with
Kapital revealing that these were part of the
Poisoned Cup's grander schemes, the townsfolk were willing to admit their mistake in blaming the River Goddess for their misfortune.
