Description

Built around a single hill, Cresthill is a medium-sized town.

Inhabitants

The diverse townsfolk are very religious and usually look to the Church of the Imperial Solar for guidance. As a result, they are very peaceful and community-oriented with crime being a non-issue.

Factions

For decades, the local clergy of the Imperial Solar served as spiritual council for the town. With many of priests killed by the Pontiff and the community's faith shaken, the people have not entirely lost their trust in Celestix, but they are certainly more cautious in their beliefs.

• Mayor Mary, the leader of the town's government.
• Lorenzo Pastuli, the organist for the church services.

After the Pontiff's true identity was exposed, the town has banned all wax products.

Locations

The grand cathedral rests on the namesake hilltop; all other buildings encircle it in neat rings.

The townsfolk have followed the Church of the Imperial Solar and worshipped Celestix for several generations.

History

Under the guidance of Archbishop Cyril, Cresthill flourished, with many townsfolk volunteering to help the clergy while following their teachings with blind reverence.
Although none could have predicted the Pontiff masquerading as the beloved archbishop, townsfolk and clergy alike were captivated by its teachings and followed its new rules without question. The town was still peaceful and cheery, but the people were swept up in celebrations, eating contests, and outlawing music, all in the hope to be chosen for "enlightenment."
The Pontiff's true identity being exposed by Kapital, with Lorenzo's and Willow's help, horrified the townsfolk; trust in the church was slow to rebuild, but the community eventually banded together again. Also, Mary promised the mass of wax spawned in the cathedral to Kapital, provided they could find a way to transport it back to the Caves of Chaos.
