Regent Data: Lieutenants: Important NPC's: Domain Description: Guild, glory, and gold: the three pillars of Geirivik. The Guildpact of Geirivik is one of the more recent domains on the continent, with the three major guilds signing the Guildpact 27 years ago. This agreement united the three major factions in the immediate area, with them no longer vying for power over one another. The ever expanding Duchies of Asdiel was the main catalyst for the Guildpact, as only the combined might of the guilds could stand up to it's spread. Mountains fill the vast majority of the domain, which has created easily defensible lands, at the cost of having little arable land. Precious and strategic minerals, gems, and ores can be found among the crags, creating the backbone of the economy. Access to the Hagfen and Cold rives, while spanning the narrowest section of the Nulbilgil mountain range has allowed the Guildpact to position itself as a major player in cross-continent trade. The people of Geirivik are shrewd and calculating, placing more trust in contracts and law over word and bond. Most that live here don't have strong ties that go back generations, the vast majority of the population come and go as the trade flows. The people of Sawic herald from the original pirates that raided the Rabewald Estate's coastal holdings. They posses a free spirited but rugged mentality and always have a scent for coin. Due to the fall of the Rabewald Estate, and the subsequent creation of the Hollow Lands, Sawic saw an influx of refugees that were able to escape the horrific disaster. These refugees were welcomed in with open arms as long as they were willing to adapt to a lifestyle on the water or processing the sea's bounty on the shore.
