Airship
Airships are the latest form of transportation. They are massive balloons capable of covering great distances quickly. Their size dwarfs even the largest Steamship. All the major nations possess airships, and experienced pilots can identify the nationality of an airship based solely on its silhouette. The Astorian airships were designed by Rutherford Hopewell. The rich often prefer to travel by airship due to their ability to have luxurious rooms and utilize state of the art technology. However, they are universally limited by the presence of airship docks. While the majority of airships are capable of lifting off from the ground, it is considerably easier for them to remain airborne once launched and only refuel and resupply at specially built docks. However, given the size and noise level of airships, the docks are relegated to the outskirts of major cities.
