The Crowns

"As the decades passed, the influence of the Na-Totambu faded and Redguard society split into two primary cultural factions. The Forebears, generally considered the more adaptable of the two, opened trade with former enemies and maintained the coastal ports. Inland, the Crowns still held much of the power and strongly adhered to the ancient Yokudan tenets." The Crowns are a faction in Hammerfell. They are the descendants of the noble Na-Totambus, who ventured to Hammerfell after the Ra-Gada, or Forebears, paved the way following the sinking of Yokuda. The Crowns are seen as traditionalists who worship the old gods of Yokuda. The Crowns also reject the practices of the rest of Tamriel.Weddings between the Crowns and the Forebears are tense and rare due to cultural issues, in part due to either family being ignorant of which allegiance the couple will have. Other fears on the part of the Crowns is that they believe such a wedding would result in religious conversion, and cultural adaptation. The Crowns, unlike The Forebears, stick true to the old Yokudan Gods, who try to maintain the traditions of Yokuda in their new homeland. The priests of Redguard Divines such as Tu’whacca, Zeht, and Ruptga have an active presence in Hammerfell.
