Mental characteristics

Personal history

Bulisar Burke was born in the Eigerlands to a large family on a farm. He had incredible aptitude for music and art and being a middle child had an incredible need for attention. He would sneak away from his chores on the farm and play the lute and a wind instrument. When he became a teenager he left his family to travel as an entertainer and started to make some money. Winding up in Helletown on the Great Lake the Eye of Hellenox, he began a little petty crime on the side and started running with a wild crowd. After getting arrested a few times he learned of the Bard college called Swearingen. He was able to focus his abilities and learn the magics associated with becoming a great bard. After graduating he wavered for months with his darker past. He tried to walk the straight and narrow but would often drink too much and wind up breaking some laws. Eventually he met a dashing young fighter named Eloch Traven and they teamed up to save a temple from several bugbears. After a few more capers the duo met a half orc barbarian named Prussia. They formed a good team and added another member, a young human rogue named Syd. They traveled to Penthaheim and all the way to Penthos doing jobs for cash. In the small town of Rollus in the Dagger Cat Pass the team was attacked by a large band of hobgoblins. When the battle was going poorly and all looked lost a small kobold burst into action and saved the day with bizarre magical powers. After the tide was turned and the party defeated the hobgoblins they invited the kobold to join with them. for the next six months the team traveled together in the Forest lands. Despite a strange obsession with creatures called Kuo-Toa and a need to find a powerful magical mask Vom Fass was a valuable asset. Though his impetuous nature and uncontrolled powers posed problems from time to time.

Failures & Embarrassments

The team of adventurers had several successes in a row, saving a small town from lizard folk, rescuing a boat of refugees fleeing Dragon Mouth, and clearing out a cave filled with dangerous oozes. Eventually they heard of a powerful shard infused crystal skull hidden in an ancient cave system. The job began like any other they found the entrance and Syd the Rogue disarmed some traps to clear the way. The fighter and barbarian killed some troglodytes and Bulisar played his lute to buff everyone. Then something strange happened. A puff of red and purple smoke shot from the ground and an image of a red grinning imp filled the tunnel. He taunted them and blathered on about a great game. The tunnel shifted and changed to a crazy maze made of 15 foot stone walls green and blue vines and pulsing orbs of light. Beautiful in a strange way but also terrifying. As the imp began to explain his rules the small kobold named Vom Fass shouted “Fireball!”. A bolt of electricity crackled over the imps head and with an angry yelp the imp dissappeared. The disembodied voice screamed obscenities in a strange language. Four angry pairs of eyes turned on the little kobold, and the accusations began. After exploring the maze the party began to separate walled off from one another. Bulisar the bard after a few hours heard Vom Fass cast a spell, shoot into the air and begin to run on top of the walls. Bulisar shouted to him to meet up in the next section but the little kobold ignored him and ran towards the prize at the end of the maze. The imp Mr. Nyx reappeared in his giant form and screamed “No fair! Rule breaker! Don’t touch that!” [Vom Fass touched the shard infused skull and something in his wild magic transported him and the skull far away] The rest of the party was now left behind trapped in the evil imp’s maze. Bulisar heard the screams of the others and he ran, eventually the maze dissappeared and he was back in the old tunnels. He barely survived escaping the rest of the dungeon and making his way back to Helletown.
