Angel

Angels are divine beings of extraordinary beauty and power, created by the deities they serve. They reside in the Upper Planes, acting as defenders and protectors of their realms. Angels possess a range of magical abilities and are known for their benevolence and dedication to their divine mission. Despite their infallible nature, pride can lead to their downfall, resulting in them becoming fallen angels. These celestial beings play a crucial role in the divine hierarchy, bridging the gap between the mortal and divine realms.

Basic Information

Anatomy

Angels possess a humanoid form of extraordinary beauty. They are taller than average humans and have slim, muscular bodies. Some have fair hair ranging from white to light brown, while others are bald. Their eyes are shades of blue and gold, ranging from light to dark. Angels have large, feathery wings that span double their height and can be white, brown, silver, or black. Rarely, angels can have two or three pairs of wings.

Genetics and Reproduction

Angels do not reproduce biologically. They are created by the deities they serve and are considered true immortals. Fallen angels retain their power but lose their connection to their deity.

Growth Rate & Stages

Angels do not age or go through life stages as mortals do. They are created fully formed and remain in their prime state indefinitely. Fallen angels retain their power but lose their divine connection.

Ecology and Habitats

Angels primarily reside in the Upper Planes, serving as defenders and protectors of their realms. They rarely visit the material realm and spend their time in other planes of existence.

Dietary Needs and Habits

Angels do not require food or sustenance as mortals do. Their existence is sustained by divine energy.

Behaviour

Angels are benevolent and dreadful, often serving as intermediaries between the outer plane and the material realm. They are protectors and sometimes destroyers, making way for new life. They are inherently honest and find dishonor alien. However, pride can lead to their undoing, and fallen angels retain their power but lose their divine connection.

Additional Information

Social Structure

Angels operate within a strict hierarchy, often dictated by the deity they serve. Higher-ranked angels command lower-ranked ones, and each has specific duties and responsibilities.

Average Intelligence

Angels possess exceptional intelligence, often surpassing mortal comprehension. Their wisdom and knowledge are vast, given their divine origins and eternal nature.

Perception and Sensory Capabilities

Angels have enhanced perception and sensory capabilities, including the ability to detect evil, comprehend languages, and discern moral and ethical alignments. They can also sense the true nature and history of evil creatures by looking them in the eyes.

Civilization and Culture

Common Taboos

Dishonesty, betrayal, and dishonor are considered severe taboos among angels. Any act that goes against their divine mission or the will of their deity is strictly forbidden.
The angel is a divine being, commonly in the form of a beautiful human with a glowing golden halo and white feathery wings. Depending on the rank and type, the angel may have several sets of wings, or take other shapes altogether. They are typically in the service of gods or other higher beings, acting out the plans of their masters, in manners that may be difficult for mortal races to fathom.
