Undeath

Edits & Such Will Occur After Summer Camp Ceremony On August 26th

To most of the Claw Continent, undeath is sacrilegious. Life is short and the creeping time takes each of us in turn.   If necromancy is mentioned in any form, it's often met with aggressive dismissal and condemnation.
Listen here folks! I'll only be saying this once. At best, undeath is the disgusting aftermath of a spell gone wrong.   At worst, undeath is the unwillful surrender to an afterlife of violence. Or-or the willful grab of power to spite the gods!   You can't be burning Malmi's tapestry like that!

Shades of Gray

There are those who believe, if done correctly, undeath is a gift. The Children of Life and Death acknowledge the horrors of cursed undead while glorifying the blessed undead. Basillic healers note that the natural healing power of undeath can be passed along, as too, can the paralyzing lobotomy of reanimation gone wrong.

Cursed Undeath

News of violent zombies and skeletons isn't commonplace but it is certainly well-known. These hunger fueled creatures terrorize humanoid and beast alike.   To the evidence of violent undead, those who follow the Basilic teachings believe if a soul has been tethered to the plane against its will, it becomes a "zombie." These creatures have been butchered for the benefit of greedy malefactors to control and manipulate.   Often, these poor souls are greatly benefited from a new death and a release from their torment. Upon new death, it is believed that their souls pass to the Realm of Whispers.

Blessed Undeath

There is evidence that some undead retain their sentience. These blessed folk are better able to harness the magic coursing through the world and convert it into healing energy.   While several cases have been cited by the Children of Life and Death, most of Tarantellia passes it off as a myth.
