Lhazaar Principalities

This loose confederacy of pirate lords, merchant princes, and sea barons holds the eastern coastline of Noyatu and the many mist-shrouded islands scattered across it. Recognized as a single allied nation under the Five Nations and Chult, the principalities are more of a loose alliance. Each island domain has its own values, goals, and feuds with other domains. The Lhazaar are the finest sailors in Noyatu. During the fall of the Wynarn Empire, they served all nations as privateers and engaged in piracy on the side. When the war ended, they returned to the merchant trade, but pirates still hunt on the open seas.   The Lhazaar value their independence. Here, anyone can rise to captain a ship or even seize a principality. Leadership is earned, not given. Nevertheless, High Prince Ryger Gorza of Regalport seeks to forge the principalities into a unified force. He has the finest fleet, and his efforts ensured that the principalities gained recognition by the other nations of Noyatu, after which he awarded himself the title of High Prince. So far, the other pirates have rejected his proposals for a stronger union.   Some principalities are devoted to Keranos, Melora, and even Tharzidun. Beyond these, the Lhazaar show little enthusiasm for religion, though many curse Auril out of spite.
The Dark Victory
Among the myriad ports and pirate redoubts of the Lhazaar Principalities are ancient ruins from forgotten civilizations that predate even the inhabitants of the Islands of Sina Una, as well as tombs built by wealthy pirates and sea lords to house their treasures and earthly remains.

Brokenbank

Brokenbank is a coastal settlement built along the beautiful southern beaches of the island of the same name. Its bustling docks are filled with foreign ships coming and going at a moment's notice. This is one of the few settlements that are incorporated in the Lhazaar Principalities but are not led by a prince and do not actively engage in piracy.

Darktow

This eerie fog-shrouded town is built into the southern cliff of Darktow Isle. This pirate haven is led by the Plank King, who disrespects the little authority of the High Prince Ryger Gorza at every chance. Darktow isn't an official principality but acts very similar to the others. Earning the unofficial name of the Serpent Principality because of alleged worship of Uk'otoa.

Dreadhold

This island prison is said to be inescapable. Maintained by House Kundarak, Dreadhold houses a host of infamous criminals and political prisoners. Its vaults also hold some of the greatest treasures of House Kundarak.

Feolinn

Smaller than the other principalities and located on the mainland, Feolinn is widely referred to as the Garden Principality for its rural aesthetic and well-kept parks and gardens. Feolinn acts as a harbor for the plentiful fishing at the Mother's Sigh Reef as well as a destination for travelers looking to escape the chaos of Lhazaar's woes.

Gwardan

The elegantly carved wooden arches of Gwardan rise out of the forest like the waving grass writ large, with neighborhoods of domed yurts rising into tall spires of brass and silver. The elven settlement in the principalities is very different from the other principalities but nonetheless participates under Regalport's loose confederacy.

Luskan

Anyone who goes to Luskan should know about Arcane Brotherhood and the society in the Hexed Ships Principality. Bregan D'aerthe has been described as much more than a band of pirates and the egotistical mages of the Brotherhood should not be sought after. High Captain Jarlaxle Baenre is the leader of the principality but is not too egotistical to accept the title of Prince.

Port Verge

Port Verge is the royal port of the Direshark Principality. Prince Pelyious Avhoste yearns to expand Verge and overshadow Regalport, and he is always looking for capable adventurers and allies. Faith in Tharzidun has a strong presence in Port Verge, and Avhoste recently allowed House Lyrander to establish an enclave there. But Avhoste's thirst for glory may lead him to foolish bargains.

Regalport

The seat of the High Prince Ryger Gorza and the Seadragon Principality, Regalport is the grandest city in the principalities, rivaling even Port Nyanzaru in Chult. The patriarch of House Thuranni resides in Regalport, and House Ghallanda has a significant outpost here. The Pirate Exchange is the largest market east of Shadowcrags.
Capital: Regalport   Government: Loose confederacy of principalities each led by a different ruler   Hallmarks: Fish, mercenaries, merchants, pirates, ships
