Summary

Dragonkind divided, split, chromatics and metallics. For some unknown reason, they split and civil war erupted. It threatened to consume the world. Human kind, all intelligent races, fought side by side with dragons, but they came to realize, as the war raged, if they let it go on, they would be consumed. Led by nine heroes, human kind, hell all 'intelligent' races that are part of the civilization we stand with today, turned again, deciding to fight as a third party, uniting and fighting against any and all dragons. With the leadership of these heroes, slowly, but surely, they broke dragon kind, finally, generations after it began, ending the Draconic War. All those nine heroes, they fell during the conflict, death claimed them. But something....different happened. Something amazing. They ascended, the story over time and through the generations to come, they ascended to godhood.

There is some truth to this, and it can't be denied, with priests able to garner blessings from their God, along with occasional displays of raw Miraculous power. Once again of course, the issue here is the timeline, the calendar used be Valarian society today was started after the reclamation crusades to take back the continent. These old stories are wildly varied in their versions and timeline. Once again though, none are even remotely close for the age, as truly the length of time since the fall of the Dragons happened well before proper historical recording. It is simply a tale told through generations, passed down so long even elves and dwarves can no longer remember the origins of it. It has been so long, the story has warped, and has been twisted far beyond the actual events.

The evidence is in the divine casting ability of those whom pursue it and pray for such powers and receive them.
