The Black Keep

It wasn't always known as 'The Black Keep'. It once belonged to an elven baron named Aelrindel Maylar. In fact, to this day most of the elves in the realm call it the Maylar Keep. But to the people of the fishing hamlet, it's known as the Black Keep. It received the name because the great dragon Umai-Yach, The Devourer took residence over the keep back when Amalexia's father was still the emperor. He led a great campaign against the dragon and with the help of Val'voraxis, slew it. Now it sits out in the swamps, a relic of what it used to be.
