Demonoid

The spawn of the infinite layers of the Abyss, Demonoids are the truest manifestations of untamed selfish chaos. Scarcely seen in the Material Plane since the Sundering, their influence over the multiverse faded into mythology rather than history.
Demonoids are not to be confused for Devils, entities from the Nine Hells as the two have been warring for all of known time.

Basic Information

Anatomy

Demonoids is a broad classification of abyssal denizens. Manifestations of the turbulent chaos of the abyss, these twisted abominations rarely even share traits among their fellows save for a tendency for wanton violence and the natural tools to perform that.

Genetics and Reproduction

Demonoids do not reproduce, they are generated spontaneously, are reborn if they are killed on other planes, or manifested by the will of powerful Demon Lords. Deals made with beings of the Material Plane, rare that they may be, can taint the blood of those involved, should they have children there is the rare chance to have a first generation Tiefling. This corruption persists indefinitely down the family line.

Social Structure

Demonoids are untamable by all except the strong. They respect power above all things and only the checks by the Demon Lords prevents the Abyss from further falling into chaos and death. The only other way to tame a Demonoid is to learn their true name, which is often never uttered by the Demon itself.
