Halfling

One might look to the Halfling and sneer, they've got a reputation for good cheer and complacency even despite the dangerous worlds but I've yet to see anyone empty an adventurer's coin purse faster than a Halfling card dealer.
- Polf Serina, High Elf Adventurer
A Halfling is often accompanied by warm food, hearty songs, and good company, sharing the pleasures of life to any and all nearby. Halflings live long and happy lives, mysteriously free from many of the troubles of the world, it is not uncommon for a wildfire to decimate a forest but leave the homes that a Halfling takes untouched or for an attempted raid by Orcs or Goliaths to end in disaster because they simply were using an outdated map. A Halfling's penchant for uncanny luck only increases in numbers.

Complacent in Comfort

The fault of Halflings lie in how often they narrowly dodge disaster. Halflings often will look danger in the face with an undeserved confidence, hoping their immense luck remains with them. Many times they are right, but others fall in a time where Istus overlooks them and can lead to catastrophe. If nothing else however, a Halfling's ability to roll with the punches and pull themselves back up is among their greatest features.

Dodgers of Misfortune

Short in stature but bold in action, a Halfling adventurer is a great addition to the cast, making themselves the heart and soul and inviting their compatriots in life's great pleasures and blessing them with greater fortunes in life. A Halfling companion will show you a good time of good pleasures and aid you to any end.
