Aurahorns

Proud, Graceful, Rare...

Aurahorn is the name used for the great equine animal wandering on the great crimson desert of Ashta'Ai. Often used in such conversations that speak about unicorns and other rarities, there exists plenty of superstition surrounding the graceful beast.

Physically aurahorns are somewhere in the middleground of large rams and horses. While their size is much more similar to a strong horse, much of their weight is focused around the aurahorns front-hooves with strong upper bodies, like

One to hunt aurahorns is sure to receive varied responses. More cynical desert-dwellers and profit-seeking merchants of Ashta'Ai are sure to congratulate on the fact, but many see the slaughter of such a graceful animal as a disgrace. As Ashta'Ai is a foreboding place, some see the aurahorns as near-divine beings, leading travelers out of danger and aiding them. Nothing is actively done to stop hunting of aurahorns other than public dishonor, but those hunting the beasts have become more and more rare - It is after all much more simple to trap or to kill a dos - pig than it is an aurahorn.
