Fanuhdet (fanu-det)
City of Pillar
Fanuhdet has many reasons to believe itself the center of the world: It is the birthplace of the Founding Church, the great hero Hamal Abrietas once lived here, it is as well the birthplace of a lesser-recognised faith in the figure Morainess and it is a city of great trade and of healthy economy. As many of these things as are true, Fanuhdet has suffered from its growth much more than well-organised Praesidium as an example. Whereas Praesidium is shared in many provinces, Fanuhdet is a single capital city in a near-unhospitable desert of Ashta'Ai. This leads to a denser focus on population, which in turn leads to many troubles such as crime, spread of diseases and general unpleasantness in living quality, especially for those suffering from poverty.Demographics
A city built by humans, but which welcomes many members of other races. Majority of Fanuhdet's inhabitants are humans, but it is not too uncommon to see high elves, dwarves, gnomes or even centaurs and the rare sight of sophisticated wood elves on Fanuhdet's streets. A small, but increasingly growing portion of Fanuhdet's inhabitants suffer from poverty as the city is starting to reach its limits in many regards, when it comes to work or possibilities to expand its territory elsewhere. As a city of believers, Fanuhdet is often times used as a neutral meeting ground between different factions. This has made it into the world's cultural melting pot.
People of Fanuhdet respect priests and those openly showing their faith as long as that faith is not harmful to others and as long as that faith follows the strictures of Pillar or does not threaten them. For this reason, many in the city share belief in Morainess, so many in fact that high priests of Morainess are often held in the same level of respect than those serving Pillar.
A city built on expansion through faith, Fanuhdet has found itself in a crossroad where wealthy merchant princes and nobles flock to the city. Attempting to buy their lots from the fabled "Sacred City", this has lead to the many high, domed towers seen on the better-faring districts of Fanuhdet. One can as well find nearly any spice, known magic item or atleast knowledge of a person who knows of said magic item, and any people they seek from the world in Fanuhdet. There is, however, a clear disparity in knowledge - Was it occult or arcane, as Pilarites heavily regulate what information is acceptable to be traded in their city.

Government
Ever since the times of Hamal Abrietas, Fanuhdet is ruled by Ehr'ali - Which roughly translates to a "Wise Ruler", simplified to be in the same status of a king when discussed in other parts of the worth. This Ehr'ali vows to follow the strictures presented by Pillar and to have the main goal of Fanuhdet's prosperity in mind. Beneath the king the governmential structure of Fanuhdet follows the strictures of Pillar with a vizier, the clergy, guilds and entrepreneurs serving at their Wise Ruler's behest.
Architecture
With buildings built largely out of sandstone or clay, Fanuhdet has become quite famous for its breathtaking "Spire District", a part of the city where high, domed roofs covered in different exquisite paints and metals rise.
