The Lethal Game of Mür

One of the few remnants of the alien "Ancient Masters" who subjugated all of elvenkind thousands of years ago. The Lethal Game of Mür seems to hold a strong prominence in the ancient culture, as it was stored in an archaeological site bearing the same name very securely. Little is known about the Lethal Game to the public, as it was quickly sealed away by the representatives of the Gemstone Realms. To which academy? No-one has certified proof of it.

A Game of Control

The name "Lethal Game of Mür" comes from what has been gathered on the function of the game. Every game played around the particular set of the Game of Mür would lead to the demise of the another person. It has been speculated that not only in death, but in near-total transaction of all that person had and owed to the opponent they played against.
As the game has not been played by anyone since it's discovery and the discovery of it's rulebook, the specific functions of the game are unknown. Only the terrifying implications and the essence of a strong magical aura bound in the game called for the immediate response to seal it deep away from the hands of the public, even from the hands of those guarding it.   Ancient Instructions
Woe be for players, who seat themselves and pronounce "Vhin'rii caen Curatur".
For they are bound to the Lethal Game of Mür, which might only resolve through their hands, or through neglectance the hands of others.
Rulers receive 7 tokens, representative of their wealth, realm, and soul.
Woe for traverse; one must travel the board clockwise, following the middle-line to the very end.
For the middle-line is covered in dread, where your opponent shall feast on your tokens.
Realms lost are to return to the beginning of the track, with the final victor having moved all of their realms past the finish-line.

Demise of Realms

Some more inclined around mysticism have debated that the implications of the Lethal Game cause it to be possibly catastrophical and reality-bending in the hands of anyone and that the Game should be destroyed. Other anarchists and wizards seeking to further their own power have taken it onto themselves to discover where the Lethal Game is being held. The true power lies beyond the implications of the loser of the game losing everything they have to the opponent. These ramifications when considering the Game of Mür to be played against an emperor, or an ruler of a vast kingdom are dire... if one is to believe such talk.
