Trailstitchers
"Mom, mom! Another one's-a-coming!"
"For Pilar's sake, don't get too near the stitches, y'hear young man?!"
"But mom, this one is huge!"
Basic Information
Anatomy
Largest gigantopoda's can grow up to 300 feet in length, from their rear hooks to their frontal antennae. Between this gargantuan length of the insect, there are on average 280 pairs of legs held together by the strong, segmented trunk of the centipede. In height, gigantopoda's are remarkably flat when compared to their length, for they stand only about 13 feet tall. As a gigantopoda roams, their legs form hypnotic wave-like patterns and leave behind fist-sized holes, reminiscent of "stitches". This has lead to their namesake and them being called in commercial meaning "Trailstitchers".

Perception and Sensory Capabilities
The large antennae of a gigantopoda can sense the shifting of air, as their mortal enemies in mountain environments are the equally humongous roc-birds. In addition to their antennae warning them of danger, the antennae as well sense slight scents even more accurately than a human would, but not as detailed as a dog would. As gigantopoda's travel, searching for a mate, they follow feromone tracks left behind by a potential mate by using their antennae.
