Wayward Spiritseer

"The wise Seer lives to serve their tribe. The wiser Seer lives to serve all tribes. The wisest Seer dies to serve all." - Sval proverb

Of the spooky and foreboding creatures of Te'za, these...beings offer a strange deviation from the normal. They do not hunger for the flesh of the living, nor do they desire to rip and tear individuals apart, they simply...exist. Classified as an undead creation, but the most benign of all undead creations across Te'za. These wandering spirits are the remnants of those who were lost with a connection to the spirits and their ancestors. They are a rare sight, but are respected despite their appearance for their guidance and wisdom they impart before simply drifting away. Their existence is a cursed one, but one of curiosity to wary explorers.

Basic Information

Anatomy

Often fairly intangible and listless, these figures hold a vaguely humanoid frame with often a mess of tattered clothing beneath that moves with their ghostly hovering that acts as its 'legs'

Biological Traits

Life span is a curious thought for a creature beyond life. They however, do usually only linger around 100 cycles before they are dismissed or their personal deeds done, though some linger for far longer. They are weightless, and their height varies, though they are usually taller and looming over most races

Genetics and Reproduction

None. These creatures (thankfully) do not reproduce. They exist until they finish their personal endeavors or are released by a servant of Haventhal

Ecology and Habitats

Often dreary desolate places where great battles might have once been held, or many individuals perish in travel

Dietary Needs and Habits

No food is required to keep these ghostly spirits alive

Additional Information

Facial characteristics

Often bearing some form of ghostly skeleton mask of an animal that might have represented them in some fashion

Average Intelligence

Highly intelligent readers of the soul

Perception and Sensory Capabilities

Extraordinary senses of detection, among being able to read through the ancestral lineages of those they encounter and detect lies without second thought

Civilization and Culture

History

Magic in Te'za is an odd thing, especially relating to such a expansionary topic as the Spirits. Much debate is had over the Spirits as a whole, but magic comes from them, and the planes between this and the spirit world exist in tethers that causes fluxes and shifts. A whole debate could be had on this subject. What these creatures are a product of is the connection certain individuals have to the spirit world upon their passing. Sometimes the spirits or the deity they serve believe they have more to tell to the world, and instead of a prison of a ghost or living some other cursed existence, this form is created in the image of their soul to deliver information and their knowledge to those who might share the same fate.
