Watchdog

A cosmic incident affected Spike and and his bulldog Champ, enhancing both and enabling them to share abilities. Spike’s wrestling coach at school knows about his powers and encourages him to use them to fight evil, but not to win matches. Spike keeps his identity a secret because he’s counting on a wrestling scholarship to help pay for college, and if anyone found out about his powers he’d be disqualified. Detective Ana Garcia with the ECPD really dislikes Watchdog after being shown up by him several times – which is awkward because Ana is good friends with Spike’s mom. Spike likes working with other young superheroes because they accept his abilities and make him feel like he belongs.
