Government: The Black Powder Brigade, a company formed by locals and comprising most of the city's workforce, enforces much of the local law. It clashes with the other companies' sense of authority at times, but it has thus far succeeded in maintaining rule over the area, mostly due to overwhelming local support.
Defense: The Black Powder Brigade maintains a local militia from among its number, referred to locally as "black-eyes". In addition, forces of other companies are stationed nearby due to the strategic importance of New Damali.
Commerce: New Damali is by far the largest source of weapons manufacturing in the Assembly, and that makes up the vast majority of its economic power.
Organizations: Other than the Black Powder Brigade, all five of the major corporations of the Assembly have a strong presence in New Damali; very few independent companies exist.
