Personal history

• Raised in town of Urghan
• Adopted into an Ossended family
• Father, Lord Vorak, comes from old Noble house that lost power when the Host united
• Vorak created a criminal organization to take the place of his noble house
• He was unable to have children, so adopted in order to continue his house's (criminal) legacy
• Family unit consisted of Lord Vorak, his Majordomo (Lady Otilie), and the eight adopted children
• The Lady raised the children for almost a decade, but was obliged to leave when her Iosi heritage called her away
• Reynard and two of his other siblings were left at the door of the Lord's house one evening. Two of them, including Reynard, had masks
• The Lady, understanding the import of these children told the Lord. He raised them as his own with pride
• Reynard was very clever as a child, and soon became the Lord's favorite, though he never showed it
• The Lady also treated Reynard and his sibling with a great deal of respect since she was of Iosi lineage
•  About a month after the Lady left, the eldest child had a terrible dream, waking the house in the middle of the night
• The Eldest broke into Reynard's room, stole his mask, and fled deep into the heart of the Ossended host
• Reynard cannot sense the location of his mask anymore, for some reason
