Berudi

Berudi is a legendary figure from the Age of Creation that is the primary subject of the Berudite religion of the Ransunai Steppe. According to The Responsibilities, the holy text of Berudism, Berudi was a druidic philosopher and orator who convinced the tyrannical dragon-god Balgainō to cease his tormenting of the people of the Ransunai Steppe of Mukan and western Karstrana. Though worship and veneration of Berudi can be found outside of these regions, it is most highly concentrated in the Northwestern regions of the Idraz Continent, primarily in the Ransunai Steppe and the hinterlands of Karstrana

Aliases

Some historians and theologians believe that Berudi and Banuja are related, if not one in the same, due to the similarities in their attributed powers, abilities, and deeds. On her own, Berudi is sometimes referred to by the titles "Will-Tamer," "Tamer of the Will," or the "Great Orator" for her supposed role in convincing Balgainō to turn away from violence.

Depiction

Berudi is most often depicted as an elderly woman, though her specific ancestry changes among different sects of Berudism
