Book II | Chapter II | The Daragonraidā Report
General Summary
In the evening of the 20th of Newgrowth, the adventurers Cass, Silas , and Adrian Lawrence were approached by a nervous Ferros Sloweye in the Sorewood Let-Up. He asked the party to assist him in defending a rare liondrake and its handler from a group of hunters that had been hired to capture the dragon creature.
Before traveling to the cave of the liondrake, the party stopped by The Clash, the local smithy of Sorewood, to pick up a couple of custom-made harnesses that Sloweye commissioned from Pimner Freecrest and Strat.
The party traveled by means of Sloweye's enhanced familiar Simon the owl, and managed to protect the liondrake from being killed or captured by the hunters. When the fog of war had cleared, it was revealed the handler of the liondrake was a former member of the Daragonraidā, the famed dragon-riding warriors of the Mukan Federation. His name was Criphaaxul Marskan, or "Criph" for short, and he shared that he had chosen to come to Faylen after the Idrazian Unification to try and protect what dragons and dragon-relatives may still live on the Continent.
Criph thanked the party for their assistance, and Sloweye promised that an unnamed organization he was "friends" with would be able to take care of the unconscious but alive hunters left over after the fray.
