In the first chapter, "Haunting the Chapel," the adventurers discover that the undead creatures are attempting to use an ancient chapel in the Khydoban Desert to summon the avatar. The chapel is guarded by powerful undead creatures, and the adventurers must fight their way through them to prevent the summoning ritual from being completed.
