Count

Count, from the old Bengnian compt, is one of the traditional titles of Bengnian nobility. Counts are the exact middle point of the feudal heirarchy, lower in status than Kings and Dukes, higher than Barons or simple knights.
Counts reign over large tracts of land, often called 'counties' but these exact names may differ from culture to culture. A count's lands may range quite drastically in size, resources, arability, and many other factors, and there is no guarantee than any given count will have a similar power ranking compared to any other count within the Empire.
