Targe of the Shieldwife
A round shield wrapped in leather so old it has turned black; it is decorated with iron studs in a complex pattern and has an iron spike protruding from the center. It gives the bearer +1 to AC and allows the bearer to push huge creatures 10ft even if the bearer's size would otherwise prevent them from doing so.
History
The shield was crafted by the first Shieldwife, Silge. She used it to save the life of her husband and Chieftain when their tribe accidentally disturbed a crystalline giant while mining for ore by deflecting a shard of crystal the giant launched at them. The impact shattered the shield and the shrapnel mortally wounded Silge, but before she succumbed to her wounds, Norok descended from the skies and congratulated her on a battle well-fought and for giving her life for her chieftain. He magically reassembled the shield and blessed it, charging her chieftain to pass it down the line of shieldwives forevermore.
