Cotnor City
"Where the frozen toes roam"
The only stone city in Cotnor, it is the exclusive hub for trade with the nomadic and notoriously private peoples.
Demographics
This city, like the others here on the continent of Pax, is entirely human but for the odd dwarf, here on business from Dwarvenholme.
Government
The King rules all with an iron fist and a heart of stone. Justice is quick and brutal, many impaled corpses line the road leading from the edge of the Buttress to the Merchants Gate on the eastern side of the city.
Industry & Trade
Trade is the main industry in Cotnor; imports and exports are the business of the moment. Indeed, trade is the only reason the city even exists; the northern folk prefer lives of wide open tundra, with plenty of "elbow room", as they call it.
Infrastructure
Roads of well-fit cobblestone, and city buildings built long ago but enduring to this day, speak to the dwarven roots of this old, old place. The human expansion is quite evident, if one knows what to look for.
Living Arrangements are first come, first served, with accommodations aplenty for Northmen and their families withing the large living complexes built throughout the city. All are well maintained, except for in the Old Mine District. The reasons for this are lost to time, aristocracy, and egotism.
