Glainnedràgon
The Sea of Glass is a wondrous place, full of strange and dangerous phenomenon. Only the very brave, or arguably foolhardy, would venture onto the deep glass, and even then, not lightly. Those with access to a Ràcan are the only folks with any sort of chance out on the deep glass, and those vessels are few and far between. The glass gets hot enough to literally cook creatures alive, during the day. Indeed, it is littered with the sun bleached skeletons of night creatures that ventured out onto the glass at night, after the glass cools down, and never made it back to the edge before being taken by the sun.
The travellers of the deep glass, however, know that not all of the skeletons are those of animals who have trapped themselves out on the glass. Some of the bones are found far, far out on the deep glass; many days travel toward the center of the Sea of Glass, dessicated skeletons can be found randomly, completely stripped of flesh, and dumped in a pile as if they were just discarded after supper. The bones have the marks of immensely sharp tools...too sharp to be teeth, according to experts...all over them, and are never dumped in any pattern or particular order. Always, they are dumped in an ignominious pile. Called by the Singers "castings", they resemble nothing so much as cairns of bones, sometimes of large mammals or similar creatures. They are incredibly rare, and there have been no new ones discovered for generations. There is a good reason for this fact: the cause has been wiped out. You see, many of the bone cairns are the bones of people. People who had loved ones and these loved ones, at one time, hired a host of Sealgair whenever one of their loved ones went missing. For, of all the creatures of the glass, the Glainnedràgon was least understood, and therefore most feared. The large reptilian silicone life forms were able to phase into the glass, and travel through it like a worm travels through soil. Being made of clear material, they were nearly impossible to detect while "phasing" through the glass of the Glaine Cuan. They were known to spring traps on lone glass rakers as they travelled through the night. They were impervious to the heat of the glass, and had a special gullet that metabolized carbon based fuel into silcone.
Sadly, the last Glainnedràgon was slain by Regnòm Raw after it, and three of its friends, attacked a tribe of Singers on their way to Sgàineadh. The Tchamut was forced into a corner when the four glass dragons started slaughtering the singers who were out on the weather deck of their tribe's massive Ràcan; it was his job, after all, to protect the lives of the Singers.
