Hagdingle
A crater, reached through a hundred feet of underground cave that opens on to a once verdant basin. Now choked with bleached and broken trees, there is a fire lit in a pit in the very middle of the hidden crater. Set over the fire is a heavy cauldron, filled with a green, bubbling ooze that pops and blurbles thickly within. The ground around the cauldron is littered with the bones of humans, elves, and other inquisitive peoples.
A 60' radius crater reveals itself as you exit the mouth of the cave, eyes blinking in the sunlight as your eyes adjust. A shallow bowl of a floor, contaminated with small pools and puddles of diseased looking water, is absolutely choked with skeletal remains of Elves, Humans, and many more. The lack of stench suddenly strikes your nostrils, and you realize these bones have been picked so clean that there had been no flesh left to putrefy. Around the perimeter of the crater, similarly dead and bleached trees and bushes are splattered with what look like nothing so much as spider webs, only made of some type of slime. Or, perhaps, phlegm.
And, oddest of all, there is what is quite clearly a witches cauldron, set to simmering over a banked fire that has been built inside a depression centered in the floor. There is a viscous, bubbling liquid within the cauldron, which has a scene cast in bas relief of a witch chasing a pair of children into an oven.
Geography
A crater, created by a meteorite that hit the mountain on the sdame day as the Impact many thousands of years ago.
Ecosystem
Everything within the crater is dead, or dying. Once a lush and complex web of indigenous life, it was all corrupted and sickened when the hag moved in.
History
The flora and fauna that had been indigenous to this hidden crater were all corrupted and killed when the sea hag Chauni'i moved in and began brewing up her companions. One of her experiments went wrong, gaining sentience and beginning to repoduce asexually. This creation, the Octopod, wound up killing its creator and taking on a life all its own.
Tourism
Curiosity seems to be the biggest draw for the Octopod living there, in the hag's old cauldron.
