Plaster of Feynor
A thick, white plaster that hardens like a rock. This particular manufacturing process imbues the plaster with a very pretty sparkle that glimmers in the dark in tune with the phases of the moon.
Mechanics & Inner Workings
It is a quick setting gypsum plaster, so named for the abundant gypsum in the The Bone Mountains as opposed to anything the Elves of the land did. It hardens when moistened and allowed to dry again.
It is made of gypsum plaster that has been heated and powdered, with alum added. Mixed with water, it assumes any shape it is cast into, and stays the same size when dry, also making it ideal for dental work. Horse hair is added sometimes to strengthen the bonding process, and then used on walls in posh homes.
Manufacturing process
Powdered gypsum is heated to 350°. It is calcium sulfate derived from gypsum, (CaSO4·2H2O)
