Session 4: The haunting at Mystic Overlook Report

General Summary

It was a harrowing evening of fun and surprises with our heroes, as they first attended a cocktail reception and were then seated for a six course gourmet meal. Indeed, the peril implied in the shine of all that polished woodwork was a very, very, subtle threat. The bartender turned out to have a secret, Haill figured all of that out with a blinding flash of insight, and then all of y'all were seated with Lord Branagh and his two Lady Wives. Dinner was roast fowl and garlic potatoes (served with curried vegetables and a thick pear sauce) was exquisite, and Viola Meadowsong's taste in salads piqued the kitchen's creative interest. They have already concocted a new cruciferous creation they are calling the "Lady Viola". But the real swan song was the dessert pudding in a nest of delicate spun sugar. Torlake missed dessert, however, and when his friends grew worried and went to check on him, he was en flagrante with an amorous septaguenarean who had a hankering for some lovin'. Of course, all things and people being equal, she turned her attention to the folks bursting into her room. With a weird little purr, the improbably hot (and spry!) old woman grabbed ahold of Haill Marrov, and gave her a deep soul kiss that Haill seemed to just melt right into. The DM learned a new gaming term, the rest of the party started beating on the poor, helpless old lady, and Haill met a freckled red headed kid who enjoyed backgammon, roasting Haill, and keeping succubi from autokilling anyone before the 5th game even started. Of course, the old lady turned out to be a devil called a succubus, which prey on people's carnal desires and entrap them both for, and by, their genitalia. Gertrude Mopkins got that feeling, and saved the day with some healing (Marvin? Is that you Marvin?), and next thing we knew, it was bed time. Perfect time to hunt ghosts!

Rewards Granted

An entire bushel of shrimp and sea scallops (Oduun can pound back the bivalves), Torlake was having a great time before they were so rudely interrupted, and everyone levelled up! Also, Torlake fucked a devil. Not sure how one denotes that on one's "bedpost of conquest", but he wins the badge.
