Vekhet Sphere

The seven terraforming domes were created and powered by these Vekhet Spheres. There are seven, total, in the multiverse. They are very powerful, indeed they brought sentience and personality not only to Tellus herself, but they created the gods and the very weave of magic itself. The secrets of the arcane were flung open wide to the original settlers, who changed as well both physically and mentally. They began to sing of peace, love and harmony. Of forgiveness, and the nobility of selfless sacrifice. They began to sing their conversations with one another, and to delight in simple joys, and to laugh hard and often.
Once these wondrous devices were finished with their work, they became inert once more, shrinking in size until they could fit comfortably in the palm of a small man's hand. Crystalline, perfectly clear globes with thin, swirling clouds of a powdery silver substance, they are capable of destroying an entire planet, but they were created specifically for building one. This one.

Possessing an alien intelligence and incomprehensible sentience, the seven spheres are in constant communication with each other no matter how far apart they are, and this includes planes of existence. They are indestructible by any terrestrial means...meaning, they are invulnerable to damage inflicted by any implement or force of nature originating upon Tellus. They created them all.

Visual Acuity

  • The sphere provides bright light for 60', and dim light for another 60'
  • The sphere can Flare for a brief moment, flashing a blazing blast of brilliance that can be seen for miles and illuminates up to 200' away as if it were in bright light. This Flare lasts for up to 5 seconds, and can be used 1/day

Environmental Protection

  • Resistance (all). The latent environmental protection provided by the sphere protects its Host and those closest to them at all times.

Environmental Awareness

  • The sphere will give subtle warnings to its host when danger approaches. Character cannot be surprised unless they are asleep.

Personal Protective Device

  • The sphere can use a burst of power to charge a protective nanite shield that surrounds its host like a second skin, granting immunity to all forms of damage for 1d4 rounds.

Proximal Anomalous Event Stabilizer

  • The sphere can use a burst of power to protect its host, and those within a 10' radius of it, from magic of any sort, 1/day for up to 10 minutes. No magic functions within this sphere, including the caster's own items and spells.

Gravitational Field Generator

  • The sphere's host is granted the ability to fly at their walking speed.

Proximal Terrain Identification

  • The orbs can provide a basic map of the area within 100' of its host. The map appears as simple lines and contours, but can be overlayed with Triscan data to provide a relatively complete understanding of the surrounding area.

Triscan Processing

  • The orbs can provide environmental scanning, recording, and input data processing.

Operational Mobility Support

  • The sphere can teleport its host, to an empty spot of sufficient size, that it can sense.

Phasic Kinetic Induction

  • The Orbs make their host's attacks magical for purposes of game mechanics.

Mechanics & Inner Workings

Communication with the sphere is purely telepathic, and needs to be done mindfully. It will always respond if 'spoken' to properly by a Weavewalker. Each sphere's personality and traits are played by the GM, and functionally any 'powers' it has are story related and therefore not in the players' control in the first place. These items are far too powerful for a player character to use.   The spheres were originally clear, but during the cataclysmic events of Shayna's Rift and Shayna's Tantrum, they joined together with the Travelers somehow; merged their essences, bolstering the flagging strength of even beings as mighty as these. The seven spheres took on the color, and some of the personality of, their Dragon Traveler counterparts. Some saying they merged their souls together, orb and dragon.   They are:
Color Traveler Current
Gold Stevie Kat'chka
Blue Mira Cryptic
Green Nyssa Sarathina Jaelryn Nar
Purple Kitt Ashryn Nightwind
Red Nermil Raquel Pliny
Gold Bayard Cora Thornleaf

Manufacturing process

These were one of the last great Terran works before the planet exploded.

Significance

The AI that originally began the terraforming process somehow evolved into a magical intelligence of some kind, though there was speculation that the AI realized the need for Deities and Demigods among human populations. The elves, dwarfs, gnomes...all of the sentient races were created, at that time, by these seven spheres working together. Each of them working with at least one deity.
