The leader of a noble family in the 9 families. Each family has discretion over the way in which they determine their own Patriarch/Matriarch. These leaders live and deliberate at the assembly.
Duties
The duties of the P/M center around ensuring peaceful relationships with the other houses, securing inter-house trade deals, and squashing subterfuge where possible
Responsibilities
Legislating the few laws that govern the 9 families.

The major noble house in the region, determined by the house wars
