Weddings in the Cult of He Who Does Not Sleep

Proposals within He Who Does Not Sleep's religion are traditionally marked by the exchange of the two parties' childhood crystal balls (or a replacement, also magically synced to the people involved in the engagement) to symbolically trust their partner with their fate.   Weddings are typically large events, much like most celebrations within the cult, with the ceremony being followed by a party that lasts until at least the next sunrise. As vows are spoken the couple tie a red ribbon or string around their respective crystal ball to represent their fates being tied to one another.   The two crystal balls and red string or ribbon is usually displayed in the couple's home.   A common symbol of divorce is to cut the string.
