Elder Gods

These greater spawns of the Autochthon known as the True Elders, the Greater Evils, the Eldritch Prophets, and Great Old Ones are beings that dwell mostly in the planes of Tenebra. Some of these beings lie in an apathetic state of slumber, and some Elder Gods are awake in the exaltation of their true masters that dwell in the Void. All seem to be rulers and commanders of various voidspawn that dwell in the planes. 
Each Elder God seems to vary in its own power and prowess. Some are able to overpower gods and demi-gods, while others are exceptional challenges for heroic adventurers. Each Elder God has differing origins in how they are made. Some are hybrid spawns of Autochthons and native species to Tenebra, some Elder Gods are horrifically mutated and corrupted beings that once dwelt in Tenebra, and some others have no true origin and merely spawned from the horrific energies that dwell in the vastness of the Void and traveled to the planes of Tenebra. 
Some Elder Gods travel back to their place of origin in the Void or are banished there long before and are incapable of traveling back to the planes. Some of these Elder Gods have great and horrific potential to one day ascend into an Autochthon, a prospect of which excites any and all cultists worshipping these foul creatures.
