Queen Victoria Rosebella

Victoria Rosebella is 37 years old. Her father was a blacksmith, her mother was an apothecary. She has an heir of elegance and authority without overstepping and is very respectful. This has gotten her very far with the people and politicians alike. She has an epic rose garden inside her throne room. Victoria can invoke power through hymns, because she is a true believer she has always been able to do this since a young age. Victoria gained her Queenhood from a tournament. Each kingdom of DeuSolis chose who they believed to be their “Wisest” (in their perspective) individual to be their judge for the tournament. Across the land everyone was invited to participate in the tournament. The only prerequisite was that it was by your own volition. The first trial is a diplomatic trial where the candidates are voted on by the judges of each are to bring the candidates down to 8. There is a time where testimonies were heard from the people if they had anything to say about the candidates. People could also send an emissary with a signed statement about the candidates. After the Diplomatic Trial, there is the Crown’s Contest where the 8 Candidates fight until 1 remains the victor. After the contest, there was an assassination attempt on Queen Victoria. It just so happened that Locke (who was a young initiate at the time) was there as part of her escort. A noble vampire, an army of wretches, and several vampires showed up. It killed the entire Ferrum aside from Locke who was in rough shape. Locke and Victoria fought together to get through the rest of the army, when facing the noble, Locke blocked Victoria from a death blow from the noble vampire, which gave Victoria a chance to kill the noble vampire. That was the day Locke gained his first merit, the Queen’s Merit, which made him eligible to be Captain. Victoria has kept a close eye on the Order and the work they do since that day. Both Locke and Victoria have scars from that day. Victoria makes it a point to show the scar she obtained from that vampire, to show that the vampires are still a threat, even in Joan'Stella. Without the hard work and dedication from the orders, the people would not be safe, and that is not something she takes lightly. Vanessa is said to be an even greater warrior than Victoria. That if she had made it to the Crown's Contest that she would have been Queen. However, Vanessa does not wish to rule or lead in any capacity. She loves being in the 'thick of it' fighting head to head against the forces that threaten her home and loved ones.
