Council of High Magi

The Council of High Magi is the ruling body of the Nemzeti Imerium. The Council has seven seats which are held by the wisest wizards in the empire who select the most capable among them to the potion of Archon, in theory. In practice, the seven seat on the council are filled by the heads of the seven most powerful Magister houses in the Empire as a part of their family possessions.
