Lapis Othaoist

She's a Calculist. Where a Geomancer does things with Geometry, Lapis uses magic based in extraplanar calculus. Straight up math genius. And a pretty good abjurer at that.   Although Lapis sits on the Council, they find real peace in spending time tending to the animals in the stable at the foot of the rookery. Lodging for mounts at her stable is free of charge, she considers it a service to help adventurers.   She owns a stable in Provenance as well as one in Carcassonne, and she seems to be able to easily spend equal time at both. Yet she is never seen traveling the road between the two cities.

Stable Gate

Wondrous Item

Rare Transmutation and Abjuration

This is the gate to a stable, but when carried from the stable and set up elsewhere it has the most unusual property. Steeds that pass through it return to the stable in either Provenance or Carcassonne depending on where the Stable Gate has been attuned to last.

Enterprising minds have figured out that if you are riding on the steed as it passes through, you will likewise find yourself returned to the appropriate city. However, larger objects such as vehicles and some unique objects in the world cannot pass through a Stable Gate and must be left on the other side. So long as the gate remains standing where it was, you may also return from the stables to the location of the stable gate. However, the gate can only be opened in one direction, once per three days.

The gate measures 10ft across and 5ft high when it is appropriately assembled and set up. Putting up the Stable Gate requires a DC 14 Carpenter’s Tools check. This can be attempted unproficient, but not without the tools on hand. It takes ten minutes to set the gate. But only 1 minute to disassemble it when it comes time to relocate it.
